About J.T.

I’m proud to call North Carolina home. Born in Elkin and raised in Greensboro, I graduated from Oak Ridge Military Academy before earning a degree in Industrial Relations and Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1988.

After college, I owned and operated a restaurant in downtown Raleigh before making the transition into real estate. Since 1992, Raleigh has been home for me and my family, and in 2002, I became a licensed real estate agent. For over two decades, I’ve proudly served clients across the Triangle area with Long & Foster Real Estate (formerly Fonville Morisey Realty).

Real estate is often the largest and most personal investment someone will make. I take that responsibility seriously. I strive to ensure that every home purchase or sale is a smart, informed decision by offering local knowledge, industry insight, and a hands-on, client-first approach.

My wife, Chris, joined me in real estate in 2004. She is a licensed broker, an Accredited Staging Professional, and plays an important role in helping our sellers prepare their homes for market. She holds a degree in Business and Consumer Studies from East Carolina University.

When we’re not working with clients, our family enjoys time in the mountains or at the coast—fishing, boating, golfing, and spending time outdoors. We're the proud parents of two UNC-Chapel Hill graduates, Mason (Class of 2023) and Davis (Class of 2024). I’m also active in the community through volunteering with Triangle Delta Waterfowl’s Youth Chapter and coaching soccer at the YMCA. Our family is a member of Edenton Street United Methodist Church in downtown Raleigh.
